Rosarito is a coastal resort city in the Mexican state of Baja California situated approximately ten miles south of the U.S. border in Rosarito Seashore Municipality. Frequently mistakenly known as Rosarito Seashore simply because of the properly–recognized Rosarito Seashore Hotel, the town of Rosarito is one portion of the municipality named Playas de Rosarito (“Beaches of Rosarito”).
Its seashores, latina escorts and dance clubs are a popular location for young men and women from the United States throughout the Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends. Rosarito Seashore is the seat of the municipality of Rosarito Seashore. The city is the second largest in the Tijuana metropolitan location and southern beach city of the San Diego–Tijuana global metropolitan region.
It is the westernmost municipal seat in Mexico, somewhat farther west than neighboring Tijuana, which lies inland to its north-northeast. As of 2010, the city had a population of 65,278.
Rosarito has historically been centered on tourism and Rosarito escorts. It started with the Ortiz family’s establishment of Rene’s (Bar, Restaurant, Trailer Park and Motel) in 1925. Rene served his town holding the position Delegado (Mayor) a lot more than any other politician in Rosarito. Rene, a prominent businessman, aided create Rosarito from a ranch to a town which later on grew to become a city. When Rene was not able to serve his men and women any longer he chose as his successor Hugo Torres Chabert, a good friend and proprietor of Hotel Rosarito. In September 1996, James Cameron’s manufacturing group moved to the newly created Fox Baja Studios in Rosarito, exactly where a total scale RMS Titanic had been constructed for the 1997 movie, in which Fox acquired 40 acres of waterfront south of Rosarito Seashore.
